May, 2010... Fantasy became reality. Worlds overlay for the briefest moment. Outworlders became stranded on earth as more than half the human populace vanished. Our World, our universe, was transformed.

Fiction is now reality. Humans and those now bound to this world will either learn to coexist, or battle for supremecy.

Mar 30, 2019 - Some know I have had a fairly significant family emergency. I apologize for being away the last month. Hope to get going again in next couple weeks. Any of my characters can be skipped still in threads. Thanks for understanding. ~ZEPH

Tall for a girl Faye sits snugly just below the heads of most men, and in some cases on the same level. Long toned legs carry a slim but curvacious body. From her feet to her neck is that classic hour glass shape though at no point of her body does she get too thin. She is, in all meanings of the terms, healthy and toned. Wrapped around this seemingly flawless frame is light tanned skin, all the way up to her angular jawline and high cheekbones. A small nose protruding from the center of her face does nothing but add to her regal looking features. Before leaving the Order she adorned nothing but the finest of clothes and accessories. Always dressing to impress. She even carried herself with a prideful air, her head held high, walking with a certain sureness to her step. After leaving the Order of Light she adorned a new set of clothing to fit a more rebel look. Dark clothes from her leather jacket to the leather high heeled riding boots. She's even gone as far as to get a fair amount of tattoos. Faye's usually seen wearing a large number of necklaces adorning crosses and other religious artifacts from Ankhs to a small Buddhist palm. Dark brown hair dangles down to just below her shoulders, giving the already important looking female a mystical air. The well kept locks fall with little snags or tangles, and is usually a very controlled beauty. Faye doesn't even need much in terms of makeup, a light amount of coverup with high wingtips around her two different colored eyes would suffice. Instead she wears enough to make her look almost porcelain in appearance, with blood red lipstick (usually,) set in front of he pearly (and straight,) white teeth with little flaws inside them save for a cavity from her youngest years. Faye also relies mostly on her powers. A telekinetic user she can do a large amount of things with her brain, though the one thing she does the most is talk. Mute in every meaning of the word Faye can speak to others through her mind. Her voice is like honey, soft, sweet, and smooth. She chooses who can hear her voice whether it's one man in a crowd, or a whole stadium of people.
Given the time of day, and current predicament Faye is normally in a good mood. All smiles, batted eyelashes, and all around happiness. Although this is how it seems Faye is actually calculating. Cold, and downright manipulative. She'll be smiling on the outside, while on the inside she'll be mentally scanning ones bodies for weaknesses maybe taking a trip into their mind for a peek at what could possibly be within. Only to those she doesn't trust. Any being that has made it passed Faye's mile high walls will be greeted with actual friendliness, warm smiles that touch the eyes, jokes, she won't even dip into their thoughts.

When one gets unlucky enough to feel Faye's wrath they'll be met with the silent treatment. Not from Faye, but from everyone else. She'll block the persons hearing (and sometimes sight) so that she can have a private word with them. This session usually only lasts a few seconds because Faye will unleash everything she's thinking in that short amount of time. The person will see images of themselves dying and being hurt in many imaginative ways, hear themselves screaming, and also hear Faye scolding them for being idiots. The whole time she will keep her calm demeanor and poker face.

Faye may seem mean. Hiding her true feelings behind a wall of smiles. She does have many bad traits like most people. But beneath all of the cold and anger she has a heart the size of a planet. She loves the same as anybody else. Feels the same emotions other people feel. She may not embody this all the time, but when she does it is so one doesn't take it so lightly. Her kindness is very limited when it comes to those who aren't kind back, and after the Nevus event hearing niceties like 'thank you' and 'please' have slipped out of a lot of people's memories. She hates it with a passion and tries to resurrect it by saying those words as much as possible.
    Clutch Contents:
Eyeliner, coverup, cell phone, prescription for headaches, bobby pins, pen, gum, and a small lint roller.

    Always on person:
    Wedding Band
Locket: A picture of herself and her husband on their wedding day. A rune on the back of it that keeps the metal shiny and new. The back of the locket has a small compartment that fits a smaller crystal which meant a lot to her husband, she has yet to know the uses for it.

As Ex First Sword of the OL for over a year, Faye has molded her powers into a force to be reckoned with. Though generally not hostile she still has these powers placed on the ready for when the need arises. Her low level skills come at such ease to her she can use them a great amount of times without tiring. Mid level casts still do not take that much off of her but they do not come as easily as they should. High level is much less so, and she has little uses a day.

Note: Telepathy is Faye's form of communication being a mute so anything having to do with speaking into others minds, or even pulling some thoughts will come very easily to her.

Soul Link: When Jax died his soul became tethered to her own, at first she didn't notice it because it was still a very weak connection and her husbands soul wasn't much stronger. As the time slipped by she slowly began to notice a feeling of being watched or followed and at some point reached out with her mind and felt her husband nearby. The event itself was traumatic and she found herself going to witch doctors and the like to see if she could help her husband move on. Alas he did all he could to stay.

    Jax's Abilities:

Communicare: Some times Jax can communicate with Faye via tapping sounds, or moving small objects. This is usually to help her figure out where something is hidden. Mostly her key's because she loses those like crazy.

Visus Spiritus,: With enough concentration Faye can put her mind into Jax's soul and he can show her what is on the other side of walls or doors. This can usually only last a few seconds and this sight is the life force of things on the other side of the wall. Human's show up as a white haze, whereas every other species has it's own color.

Crescere Vis: Jax can lend some of his soul to Faye to induce stronger results from her abilities. Though every time he does this he loses a bit of himself. They both know at some point his soul will cease to exist but until then he will help her as much as possible.

    Low Level

Obice: Faye can call upon an invisible barrier between herself and others. The barrier itself can ward off most small elemental abilities without problem (generally the ones that take the least amount of pull on the mana pool,) and can even bend the course of a bullet (but not stop it.) The barrier cannot be seen but it can be felt if it were to be near someone, much like a wall but... Invisible.

Mens Præcipitate: A ball of pure telekinetic energy strikes its victim with enough force to knock a grown man off his feet. The ball itself is used for incapacitating purposes more than physical harm. Though if it were to miss its target it could do some nasty damage to walls, doors, windows, or other structural things.

Fuga: Using her brain power Faye can actually lift herself from the ground, normally only flying at slow speeds (such as Magneto, a sort of hovering flight.) She can still do other things while flying (i.e. force choke, thunder clap etc.) but it requires much more concentration on her part.

Tonitrui Plaudite: With a slight amount of concentration Faye will clap her hands and a shock wave of telekinetic energy will shoot forth. Depending on where her hands are placed the wave can go vertical, horizontal, even diagonal if she wants. The shock wave itself can burst car windows and break wood.

Levate: Faye can move small and medium objects with ease, whether it's fetching a coffee cup from across the room, to writing on a piece of paper while talking to someone. Her way of multitasking.

    Mid Level:

Incussus: Gathering up enough telekinetic energy to knock down a wall Faye forces a barrier out from herself in all directions. Used for crowd control and to keep attackers away from herself.

Gurge: Faye can cause a ball of kinetic energy with it's own gravitational pull to yank things towards it. The pull itself is more like tug of war if someone were trying to move away from it. Though the opposite team would be like playing against a few boy scouts.

Magnus Obice: This barrier can now stop a medium tier abilities and can even cover more targets. Bullets now get slowed to the point of if it were to make contact with skin it would pierce it, but not be able to go through the body.

    High Level:

Grandis Obice: The strongest of Faye's telekinetic shielding, she can only cover herself and one other person, but the power is increased so that it can stop all lesser abilities and some weaker high level abilities. The shield stops most low caliber bullets in their tracks and slows higher caliber so that they cause much less damage.

Perditio: Faye can focus enough of her energy into one powerful telekinetic explosion. The explosion itself has the power of a concussion grenade without all the lethality that follows. The damage grows the closer one gets to the inside of the epicenter. Within a few yards loss of hearing, unconsciousness, etc. The farther away the less intense the effects.
Inner Peace: Meditation, Yoga, and the art of Aikido has brought Faye to an inner peace, it is hard to tip her anger and even harder for her to lose focus.

Aikido (Self Defense and Fighting): Having trained in Aikido for several years and still practicing after the Shift Faye is not only good in hand to hand combat, but she is able to defend herself without causing harm to her attacker. She can of course do so, but most of the time she wishes not to hurt others.

Growing up in a more wealthy household Faye knows a great amount of languages. From French to Italian down to Spanish. She was taught them by her mother's friend so she knew how to react if ever spoken to in a different language. Holding on to those lessons she can now speak fluently through her mind to others.
Faye spent a majority of her childhood behind thick iron fences and gates, sheltered, scorned for wrong doings, and even punished. Her parent's were wealthy, filthy rich to some, and were at the top of the hierarchy for wealth in New York. A large Mansion just outside New York City was where she spent a majority of her time. She wasn't spoiled in any way, her parent's were too busy with their social lives to pay attention to their daughter, and so Faye had to use the many servants their parents had to eat, bathe herself at younger ages, and even take her out to buy clothes and other things. It went on like this for years until Faye finally reached high school. Being a mute her parents never payed much attention to her because she couldn't ask for it, but in high school she learned a new form of communication. Rebellion.

At 15 Faye found a group of people whom not only weren't very good influences, but were troublemakers. At first she was awkward about it as she was many things. But a few weeks amongst these people and she become one of the worst of them. Vandalism, drugs, alcohol. She was doing it all, and each time she got caught her parents payed more and more attention to her. It wasn't until she was 19 and was threatened with life in prison for accidentally killing a man during a robbery that her parents really decided to step into their parental roles. They bought the best lawyer they could and got the sentence lowered to 14 years.

Coming out of prison at 23 Faye was a much colder person. She hated most people and kept what happened inside those walls to herself. During the months of parole Faye introduced herself to meditation and yoga. At first it was to pass the time while she was under house arrest, then it turned into a ritual. Meditation was to center herself mentally, whereas Yoga was to keep her physically centered. She spends a good two hours a day doing Yoga and three more just meditating. She even took up self karate classes to push her body to it's limits. Her trainer soon grew an interest into her and asked her out on a date. This led to a two year romance that grew into marriage.

When the Resonance came both herself and her husband had been meditating inside their apartment in the city. The ensuing chaos caused them to go into extreme protection mode. They fled the city to Faye's parents where they hid out for several months. Her parents had been visiting family in Chicago when the zombie outbreak happened and did not make it though Faye never figured this out until after the chaos ended. She stayed with her husband throughout it all and soon found that she had the ability to do stuff with her mind. Telepathy as her husband had explained it to her. With a few months training she was able to speak to others through thought and was soon found by the Order of Light in Boston. They took both Faye and her husband Jax in. Training them in their powers and helping them achieve levels that they never thought possible. Both Jax and herself stepped up the rungs to Second Sword after a good amount of time. Soon they become one of the most feared Sword teams there were, Faye's Telepathy with Jax's Air Manipulation put them on the winning side of most fights.

They had it good for the most part, a place to call home, 'jobs' if that's what one would call them, and the ability to stay together. Faye was finally happy again, considering. Then it all went to shit. She caught wind of the NY branch of the OL going against the Vatican and her being her questioned motives deeply. After being convinced by a few other sources she decided for her and her husband joining the rebellion was best. In this time of hell and high water Faye and her Husband along with a group of other rebellious Magus were met by a team of Inquisitors. Many were wiped out within the first few seconds of the fight, the inquisitors themselves had such immense power that the Faye and Jax team could barely hold them off as the rest of the rebels ran off. It was in this time that Jax was struck down by one of the Inquisitors. Faye who had been mostly fighting as she usually did (disarm don't harm) lost it. As Jax hit the ground, the life flooding from his eyes she unleashed a power she didn't know she had. The three inquisitors once standing, were lifted into the air and crushed. Slowly of course, as hate burned in Faye's eyes. She watched with a wicked smile as their own lives were snuffed out.

After the messy dispatch of the Inquisitors Faye ran to her husband and after a few of the rebellion came back one of them tried to keep him alive. To no avail and before his last breath was taken an acolyte used his own power to meld her husbands soul into her own. Telling Faye that in it, her husband could still assist her. At first they thought this didn't work. Jax presence wasn't felt and thus they assumed it failed. Alas as the months rolled by eventually he made himself known. Angry, sad, and confused Faye took the few rebel mages left with her into hiding from the Order and eventually she found herself. With as much power she controlled, she established a Night Club. A haven for the scum of the Earth to go and be safe. Domus Mortuorum. House of the Dead.

    Welcome To Domus Mortuorum

"Most business owners are money hungry. Will do anything for a couple bucks. I'm not exactly for that. I am a provider for my people Mr. Gallo. The money is nice yes, the alcohol, the power, etcetera. It's all well and good, but consider me a..." She paused a moment in thought, swirling the drink around in her cup. "...Protector. There's a reason a majority of the money taken in by the club goes to its employees and back into the club. So, the more I pay you for alcohol the less my people get. Does that sound okay to you?" Faye listened then. Letting him talk, accepting his words for what they were, and leaving it at that. People in their line of business had different ventures than the ones everyone saw on the surface. Faye is one of them. She pays a pretty penny to people she's hired to hunt down ancient artifacts of the magical and mundane sorts. Not many people knew about it, and those that did remain rather tight-lipped about the situation. It allowed her to not have to worry about paying competitive prices to artifact hunters when she had a handful of loyal ones. But that was one reason she wasn't surprised at Tom's words. She could've expected him to have dipped his fingers in the alcohol of every company out there, but if he had was there really a reason for him to be there? "Bootleggers, counterfeiters, and whathaveyou don't concern me, Mr. Gallo." She pushed from the alcohol table and slid back into her seat across from the man, still swirling the drink in her glass as she looked at him with a smile. Faye knew the game, she knew how to intimidate someone and when it was useful. She didn't like to play with all of her chips on the table and kept a majority of them close to her chest. So as the man gloated and said what he did she could only hold that same grin. "Isn't it all just meaningless to you then? This meeting anyway. You said so yourself, alcohol that you've touched will be in my club sooner or later. Are you here to just speed up your own agenda, because if so you're doing exactly what I told you not to at the beginning of our meeting..." The smirk finally faded as she leaned forward, elbows placed on her desk and head cradles on her fists. "Wasting my time." He kept going on. About how they weren't lions fighting over the same prey. She'd been to Bakkhos clubs before, most of her clientele wouldn't set foot in those walls. A majority of them didn't even have the money to think about it. "Alright. Mr. Gallo. So we aren't competitors. Bakkhos is already a powerful family and runs a powerful business. To what does my tiny little club owe the honor of such an esteemed venture of affiliating with Bakkhos? What do my people get out of it? Good liquor does the same thing as poor liquor... I need to make sure my people are taken care of before I agree to anything, so I don't have to worry that the extra money I'm putting into alcohol doesn't come out of their pockets."

    Welcome To Domus Mortuorum

Faye sipped lightly at her Scotch as Tom spoke. Not exactly the conversation she had expected to have. After all, she wasn't exactly keen on sharing a business venture with a rival. But she let him speak, her eyes ever so intent on him, the mismatched color difference between both irises intent on him. Her hand slowly set the glass on her desk after his first go around. "Mr. Gallo, as you can see I have alcohol. That's not what my club makes the most money off of though..." Her voice trailed off for a moment in thought. A finger danced around the lip of her glass. "... granted if I were to go on this business venture with you it would be putting money into my competitions pockets. I don't know about you but that doesn't exactly sound like a wise decision. You're a businessman and I can respect your effort to forge what little you can to line yours and Bakkhos' pockets. At the same time, Bakkhos has money, as do I. My suppliers aren't actually making me pay that much as they have VIP status within these walls and are treated rather well..." Again her voice slid off and she allowed her hand to lift the cup to her lips for another sip. "... what exactly can you offer me, that my current business arrangements don't already?" She rose yet again from her desk having finished the Scotch off and turned to a personal stash of glasses and vials near the door to the fire escape. "I would not be frightened if goons came to shake me down. I have certain..." Faye paused a moment in thought, a hand placed lightly on one bottle of green liquid. A fairy painted on the front of it. "... measures to see against any outside attacks. Promises as well to keep this street and my club protected. Regardless it pleases me to know that Bakkhos isn't attempting to impede my business ventures. I would hate to have some sort of rivalry with a group as esteemed as yours. I do also enjoy myself a challenge though." After her glass was filled with the Absinthe she turned and leaned against that same table with a smile, "How much research did you do on me, Mr. Gallo? Or did you come into this blind to who I am?"

    Welcome To Domus Mortuorum

As the Capo slipped into her office she followed and Alexei close behind. He wasn't going to leave her in a room with some Bakkhos stranger. People had codes of honor, but Alexei wasn't one to hold people to them. He'd killed enough people since working for Faye to know better than to underestimate someone. He slowly closed the door behind him and the music from the club drowned out, the room itself perfectly soundproof with the thick windows overlooking the dance floor. Faye slid over to her desk and slipped into the chair with a sigh. "He is loyal because I saved his life long ago. We've been as close to best friends since. That is a story for another time though." She reached out with her mind and a short moment later Gemma the beautiful faun slid into the office with a tray, atop it vintage scotch and two crystal glasses. "I don't just slip into peoples minds, Mr. Gallo. It is something I have stopped doing for quite some time. If you give me any reason to distrust you, then I may be forced to venture into that noggin of yours. As it stands, I will not. Though I don't have to to see the rage that sits inside of you, that sits in your eyes." Gemma stood near the door waiting for an order or something. It would be about now that Tom would notice this entire time she had only been talking to him. Alexei looked towards the dance floor for trouble, though he occasionally gave a glance towards Faye. "Gemma dear, pour our friend Mr. Gallo a drink, me as well." "Yes, ma'am." Hooves clicked lightly against the dark wooden floor with the fauns approach. The tray set gingerly on the desk and Gemma slowly poured to half glasses of the rich scotch. "Will there be anything else Miss Faye?" "No thank you, Gemma, you're a doll." With a wink, Gemma smiled and trotted off leaving the Scotch behind. She gave a playful swat to Alexei's butt on the way out and he made some sort of comment in Russian as she disappeared on the other side of the door. "Down to business Mr. Gallo. What could Bakkhos want with my humble little club? And please don't waste my time. It is very valuable when you run an establishment like this as I'm sure you know."

    Welcome To Domus Mortuorum

Alexei handed off the clipboard to a man near the front who wandered off to see it get to the right hands. Faye followed in his footsteps and made sure to greet a guest or two here and there. She was the owner of the club after all and needed to show her face. How could people know to respect her if her present wasn't constantly felt? The stone man shoved the front door open, lowered himself through the hole, and turned to hold it ajar for Faye. "It would appear as if your Elven friend wishes to speak to you, Faye." "Let's not get too hasty with labels dear Alexei. I never saw this man as a friend, nor will I ever. He's just an ever apparent thorn in my side with a lot of money." Faye handed her drink off to a waitress outside and looked at the line of people that awaited their entrance. Business was booming for a Thursday night. She adjusted her sleeves and stepped to the side of the door where a tall lanky elven man stood, dressed in a fine, rather flamboyant suit. "Mr. Ki'shan. It has been a few days since you've graced Domus Motuorum with your presence!" "Oh Faye, your words are far too kind as always." The man was a snake, it could be heard in his words and how he carried himself. How he procured the money he had could only be guessed as the shadiest of deals and backstabbings. "I wanted to speak to you about a business venture. You see I'm in the market for some new clientele for my business that we spoke of before. Now I know your lovely club isn't a bad establishment of any means whatsoever, but wouldn't you want to rake in an extra bit of money? It'll be fun." Faye's demeanor quickly changed, her eyebrows set into a deep furrow. "I have told you time and time again Ki'shan. I will not sell slaves out of my Club, nor will anyone that is affiliated with me. You may see yourself as a dangerous man elf. But listen to me and listen closely..." Faye took two deliberate steps towards the man and placed a finger against his chest. He looked physically shaken as this was the first time she had threatened him. "... I have been up to my neck in bullshit today, I have dealt with nothing but dicks, and this is the fifth time this week you have come to me offering a deal for selling your slaves out of my club. You're lucky we're outside if we were in my office Alexei here would break both of your legs and feed you your teeth. You are still allowed in my Club, but I will be watching you like a hawk, and if I hear from anyone you're trying to make this same deal in my club. I will personally strangle the life from your pitiful body. Do we have a deal?" "Yes, Faye. We are understood completely." The man visibly gulped and walked away, shaking with fear. Many knew what happened to those who crossed Faye. It was never pretty, nor did it ever end well. She'd once cut a mans tongue out for speaking ill of the fae race in her presence. She saw herself as the mother of people who stepped into her club. Everyone who entered was protected by her, anyone who threatened the safety, or talked down to her patrons were dealt with. She had eyes and ears everywhere. Not to mention the tank of a man Alexei to bring them to her. Faye perked at the mention of her name. Tom Gallo. She sucked air between her teeth as Alexei's arms folded across his chest and he straightened up to his rather tall height. Molten lava colored eyes stared down at the man before him and Alexei chuckled. "Little man thinks it's that easy to talk to Mistress Faye?" Alexei laughed a little louder and the group in the line nearest the conversation chuckled themselves. "You make me laugh little man, but you also make me angry. You need to talk to Mistress Faye you make an appointment. Little men cannot just walk in here and say that..." "It's quite alright Alexei. Any member of Bakkhos is welcome to have a conversation with me." Faye stepped toward the duo a hand placed on Alexei's shoulder, a sign to stay close in case he tried anything funny, the other reached out in greeting to the other man. "I am Faye Johnson. What is a reputable family member such as yourself doing on this side of town Mr. Gallo? Bakkhos has never bothered me before, and I wasn't quite expecting it to happen now." She motioned for Tom to follow and turned to make her way back into the club. Alexei would follow suit behind the Bakkhos man a different guard moving to take his place. "Mr. Gallo, don't bother speaking. It's a little too loud in here for me or my associate to hear you. But I shall explain the rules to you as we walk." Her voice was crystal clear in his head as they moved, no matter how loud the music and patrons within were, her voice was like it was right next to his ear. Soft, honey-like. "There will be no violence, no talk of violence, no disturbing of the other patrons, no weapons, they are forfeit at the door, no outside alcohol or drugs they are also forfeit at the door, no use of dangerous magic that could cause harm to another patron, no shifting, no talking about other clubs within my club. If you want to go to that club, don't take my customers with you. Breaking the rules is dealt with in a three-step manner. First, a warning, second, physical harm and removal from the club, third permanent forfeit of life. I am the judge, jury, and executioner within these walls." They approached the stairs and Faye slowly made her way up, a quick glance over her shoulder to be sure that she didn't lose the man. A hand snaked inside her shirt and between her breast where she produced a large skeleton key that slipped into the door of her office. Any mage could feel a shift in the mana pool as the door unlocked and swung open. "After you sir."
  5. February, 1st 23:00 Faye stood behind her desk, the pulsing music from the club only a faint vibration in the floor. A hand slowly ran through her Raven black hair and a long sigh slipped through her lips as she slid papers around on her desk with her other hand. A hulk of a beast stood near the entrance to the office. He stood two heads above the door and his skin had a rock-like appearance. "Mr... Jackson is it?" "It's uh, James Ma'am." "James." Faye's voice took on an annoyed tone within his head. A chair slid behind the man and a force shoved him into it. Eyes burned into his own as she too slid into her own chair and leaned forward arms rested on the surface of the dark wooden desk. "From what Alexei here tells me, for the past several nights you have caused disturbances among the fae guests beneath my roof. As everyone that partakes in the ventures of my club knows, any kind of disturbance is forbidden. This is a haven for human and nonhuman alike. For all species to unwind, and enjoy themselves. Now tell me, Mr. James. What the actual fuck were you thinking disobeying my rules?" "I'm really sorry Mrs. Johnson, I don't know what came over me!" "He lies to you, Faye." Alexei's thick Russian accent broke the man's words as the giant stalked across the floor with heavy footsteps. "I heard from many patrons that this puny man had been talking all night about hurting one of them 'pretty fae bitches' and 'giving them something to remember.'" Faye's face was expressionless as she turned from Alexei to the man that now squirmed uncomfortably in his seat. She rubbed angrily at her temples lowered her hands to reveal a piercing glare at the wrongdoer. A flinch from him as he saw it and tried to jump from the chair but a stone like a hand forced him back down. "Your first mistake was lying to me. I would've found out the truth either way and I would've sent someone to hunt you down. Your second mistake..." Hands placed slowly against the desk and forced her body to rise yet again. "... was openly admitting to wishing to hurt one of my patrons, in my club." A hand rose in the man's direction and after a brief moment a ball of energy launched from her hand and into his chest. Alexei released his grip and allowed James to launch backward and into the glass wall separating him from the forty foot fall to the dance floor. He rolled around on the ground gasping for air while Faye adjusted her blouse and skirt. "Alexei, make sure this scum never steps foot in this club, or any other establishment again." A nod from the stone man and he grabbed the man by the neck and led him out onto the fire escape on the opposite side of the room. Faye opened the opposite door to her office causing the sound of music to drown out the man's screams as he fell. Alexei rejoined her as they made their way down into the club. Heavy techno music blasted the crowd as scantily clad waitresses went about delivering alcohol and illicit drugs to those on the dance floor. Most lights within the club were extinguished. Save for a lit platform on each corner of the dance floor that had a caged dancer atop it, only the glow sticks, bracelets, black-light, and strobe lights from the DJ lit up the interior. Watching the crowd from the stairs to the upper office was like watching the ocean as the patrons bounced and danced to the beat that rocked the club and bled out onto the street. "How are our VIP Alexei, I've had to deal with so many dicks tonight I really don't want to deal with those ones as well." "The VIP are enjoying themselves, I just had Mika check on them and take a bottle of our finest Vodka as well before bringing this last problem to you." "Not every issue can be fixed with Vodka Alexei." "Nonsense, Vodka fixes everything!" Both Faye and Alexei laughed at that and made their way to the bar where Gemma the best fawn bartender in the city sat. The tattooed half woman turned in time to see their approach and smiled. She swiftly poured a large glass of Vodka for Alexei and some fancy concoction of her own making for Fae. "What can I do for ya boss lady? Pretty busy tonight, I've already written down all of the alcohol and other things we'll need for the weekend." Gemma placed a clipboard on the bar and pushed it towards Faye who scooped it up. "Milo said some man's been sneaking around the building trying to find a way in, the mysterious type with his hood up and everything." "Thank you, Gemma, as always you're the best." Faye sipped at her favorite Gemma drink and looked over the clipboard before handing it over to Alexei who stuffed it under his arm. She gestured for the front door and the stone man nodded and moved through the crowd which parted around him. "Stay safe Gemma, you know where the gun is if you need it."

At the mention of the pup liking her, Faye smirked and turned her head to gaze upon the dog. It looked like a highly intelligent creature. Dogs were always one of her favorite animals, cat's a close second due to their grace and agility. 'Silent Killers' as she liked to call them. But man's best friend was by far the best in her eyes. Easily trainable, loyal to a fault, and adorable to look on. Head shifted yet again to Abby as she spoke. "Abby it is." Faye offered in response, hands folded neatly in her lap. "I wish I could sit at my desk sometimes, running a nightclub is rough when a slew of meta's and other species can't keep their heads straight and decide to provoke violence. Tis a rough life when security can't handle situations and I'm needed on the floor." The raven haired woman's eyes stayed set on the female across from her. Not judging, but observing. Her emerald green, and blue eyes looking into her opposites brown. "I imagine you are much busier than I when it comes to matters of work though." As she pondered the woman's words Faye combed a hand through her hair. "As I'm sure you know it's not exactly safe for unpowered humans to be out in the park late at night. Especially so soon after the event..." Faye trailed off in thought for a moment, "Regardless, it may be a good thing that you stumbled upon Ghost that night. Otherwise some unsavory being might have done the same and the pup you know and love might have had a much darker future. Imagine the possibilities a thief, or murderer might use him for. You two were destined to meet." Ghost approached, and unable to resist the urge Faye reached down to run her hands through his coat. Hearing Abby's surprised sounding expletive a brow quirked followed by a swift smile at her words. "I am a telepath. I speak using my mind. I was born mute you see. So after the event I was able to find my voice in my own way." She removed her hand from the dog and lifted her coffee to her lips again and sipped at it. "I can choose whom it is that hears me, which is why we keep getting weird looks whenever you respond to me. I prefer to only talk to those I deem important, not an entire crowd. It's especially useful at the club."

Most things didn't throw Faye off. She'd seen almost everything at her club. But a dog that could fade in and out of the physical plain was fantastic. Altered humans that could do the same things was familiar, always would be. It was the first time she'd seen an animal with abilities. Whether it could really control it or not. "Detective Abby Wynn is it?" The other woman's slight mixup told Faye everything she needed to know. "It's a pleasure to meet you..." Head swiveled to look to the dog, "and you as well Ghost." Faye's eyes lingered on the dog for a few moments. Curiosity having gotten the best of her. She'd have to hire a few people to go out in the world and find more altered animals. They could come in handy if needed. Her mind wandered to the thought of a fire breathing cat, or a flying bear. A smirk twisted the corners of her lips and she nodded when Abby offered a seat. "I would love to, thank you." The chair slid out by itself and Faye slid slowly into it looking at the woman opposite of her. Wondering if maybe she had her own abilities, or if it was Ghost that had won the Resonance lottery. "So detective. Where does one happen upon such a fascinating creature? I've seen many animals since everything went to hell, but i could swear none of them had their own abilities. Or they did but they weren't quite as noticeable. It's an interesting thought that their may be more out there." Faye sipped gingerly at her drink before she placed it on the table slowly. Left leg folded over the right and her hands clasped together in her lap. She was warming up thanks to the coffee and suddenly felt herself in a better mood than prior to her trip to the coffee shop. So small talk began to come a little easier to her, and she wouldn't find herself thinking about killing anyone until the caffeine wore off. "Do you prefer I call you Abby? Or shall I just stick with Detective? I imagine we'll be getting to know each other quite well, and I'd hate to make you uncomfortable with my way of using peoples titles to talk to them." One of the employees came around grabbing cups and Faye reached out to touch her arm, giving a brief order to just her and she nodded before walking off. "Oh, would you like anything else I could call her back."

It was coffee o'clock. Thus Faye found herself wandering aimlessly through Mid Town. Life had gone to shit since her own coffee machine had decided to die on her, and she'd been spending an unreasonable amount of money on coffee shops of late. Even though she lived a life filled with staying up late she still found herself stirring in the wee hours of the morning to the thirst for a cup of warm nectar of the gods. Luckily she'd found a particular shop, Boheme that never failed her. She shrugged the leather jacket higher on her shoulders and tightened her scarf a little more to fight off the fall air of New York. It was far from freezing yet, but Faye had no love for freezing weather, and once winter decided to rear it's ugly head she would spend most of her time in the club. As she slid into a seat outside Faye thought closely of what she'd been told by one of her bouncers. She'd been making quite the name for herself in the underground. Mostly because of the harsh way she treated anyone that started any sort of problem within her clubs walls and the quality of drugs that flowed through her establishment. It left a nice warm feeling in her cold heart. Finally she was climbing the ladder, maybe one day she could rival even the Bakkhos themselves. She was far off from that reality, and she decided to remain focused on the coffee before her. The waitress had set it a bit off and a customer watched with curiosity as the cup slid quickly over to Faye's side. Telekinesis was the best thing that could've ever happened to her, it was useful on so many levels. Her different colored eyes shifted slowly over to a husky placed upon the ground next to whom she was guessing was it's owner. A shift in the pups appearance drew a quirked eyebrow from the Magus and her eyes narrowed to see if maybe, she had just been seeing things. But sure enough it happened again and Faye grew even more curious. A sip off her coffee and she licked lazily at the leftover on her lips. Free hand shoved off the chair to cause her to rise, the jeans she wore squeezing a little tighter on her thighs in that moment. An uncomfortable side effect to wearing pants slightly too small, she'd be sure to bitch at Marcus later for buying the wrong size. Regardless she slid forward with that same curious gaze. "What an interesting dog you have." She reached out with her mind to place her voice into the dog and girls head. A clear ringing sound as if spoken right into their ears. "Does it always fade in and out like that? Or am I just losing my mind?" No one else at the cafe could hear Faye's voice. She made sure of it. No one needed to know what she was saying nor would she let them. The other girl on the other hand would most likely look insane if she answered. That was neither Faye's concern, nor care. That dog was an interesting trinket and she was now determined to learn more about it. The "red flag" around the girls neck was ignored. New world cops didn't faze the telekinetic mage one bit, and she was obviously not on the radar yet if she hadn't heard anything about it. Probably because NYPD"s finest had a few scummy cops that enjoyed her humble club. "How, completely rude of me." Faye ran a hand against her pants to clean off any dirt and reached out for the girls hand. Eyes seemingly calculating as she took in the girls appearance. "My name is Faye... Faye Johnson."
